Christine Benfield
Vice President Projects- North Sea & Global Subsea, BP
In Christine’s role as Vice President Projects – North Sea and Global Subsea, she is accountable for the progression of BP’s North Sea portfolio of upstream major projects (both category A & B), including the fast‐paced subsea tie‐back program. Her accountabilities include the global subsea systems and global subsea execution teams, supporting and executing work on behalf of BP’s global operations, projects and wells organizations. Christine also leads BP’s Women in Projects organization.
Christine joined BP in 2005 and has held several leadership roles in various major projects in Azerbaijan, Angola and Egypt and brings more than 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Most recently, Christine served as Vice President, Project Management for BP’s global projects organization.
Christine holds a BEng (1st Class Hons) Civil Engineering from Liverpool University and is a Chartered Engineer with professional association memberships with the Institution of Civil Engineers, Institution of Structural Engineers and the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology.
