Immersion probes are the ideal choice for scanning parts with irregular geometries. Because they’re the best method for consistent coupling and achieving reliable, reproducible results, they’re most often used in mechanized or automated testing using water. Large parts can be tested using probe holders, bubblers, or water jets and can be focused to improve results.

Ultrasonic Probes: A Competitive Analysis
After all, when you’re out in the field and need the most efficient and reliable data from your probes, you can’t leave anything up to chance. This comparative analysis will showcase three of our ultrasonic probes and measure their performance capabilities against our leading competitor’s counterparts. Download our analysis to ensure you never have to second-guess your first choice.
Acoustically optimized for water scan tests, our waterproofed immersion probes can be geometrically focused to a point (spherical) or to a line (cylindrical) for the highest quality resolution, sensitivity and signal-to-noise ratio. They’re ideal for critical applications where very high near surface resolution and sensitivity to small discontinuities like cracks, cavities, and pores is crucial.
For European Customers:These models have a fixed cable with LEMO-1 connector.
For North American Customers:These models have waterproof UHF connector, except IPS type, which has non-waterproof M dot.
